E-Coat Use and Care Instructions

Cleaning: To clean an E-Coated finish, Use a soft cloth or sponge and warm water to clean the shelving. A mild cleaner may also be used such as Simple Green®, Genuine Joe® All Purpose Cleaner or a mild detergent such as Dawn®. Follow the manufacturer’s recommendations. Rinse thoroughly with water and dry. Avoid harsh acidic or alkaline cleaners, lime and scale removers and/or stiff brushes, steel wool, and/or cleaners containing abrasives or chemical compounds as these may damage the finish. Pressure washing of shelves should also be avoided.
Use: For a product protected with an E-Coat finish, avoid contact with other hard surfaces, such as metal or wire products. This can damage and chip the E-Coat finish and cause the underlying metal to corrode.
